Exhibition “Coyanza 1975 – Democracia nuclear”
46 years ago the province of León witnessed a fact of which we should all be proud, since we were an example at the national level of how the union of a people managed to overturn a unilateral decision promoted by the Regime. Valencia de Don Juan and the southern region of León showed that Spain was changing.
It all began in January 1975, when the Council of Ministers approved the first National Energy Plan, which included within ten years the construction of a score of nuclear power plants, one of which was planned to be built in the Leonese town of Valencia de Don Juan.
The exhibition that recounts these historical events, created by the Leonese journalist Pedro Lechuga Mallo, will be at Espacio León between June 8th and 25th, 2023, on the ground floor.
