LEON IS THE FIRST SPANISH CITY TO DEVELOP THE ICE4CITY PROJECT
In Spain there are 15 permanent ice rinks, although only 10 of them are of regulatory size for competition. However, in the winter season, most municipalities invest in installing an ice rink to meet the demand for leisure and sports practice (to a lesser extent) of ice sports.
Therefore, there is an interest in leisure-sports activity on ice that is not being addressed or is being addressed temporarily, unstructured and without any intention of continuity.
This program is based on the tradition of installing ice rinks during the winter season in the main Spanish cities and takes advantage of this tradition to make our sports known to a wider public and attract new athletes.
